These Zimbabweans' Bots made it to the Messenger Bot Challenge finalists

Two Messenger Bots made by Zimbabweans made it to the 60 finalists of the Messenger Bot Challenge being run by Facebook. The Challenge was launched by Facebook in February this year.

The Bots - Zimbabwe: Sphinx The Game and Zimbabwe: PopTime Bot - Movie Companion - are a game and a movie recommendation app respectively. The movie recommendation bot was made by a student. Unfortunately, there's no information on the names of the individuals who created the bots. (if you're reading this, please let us know so we update with your names.

The 60 finalist bots, which were announced yesterday, were selected out of 1,000 submissions across 64 countries in the Middle East and Africa.
