A chatbot that knows cricket like the back of his hand

While watching cricket you may have a question like When is Virat playing again? How many matches has Sri Lanka won while playing at home? Getting accurate answers to such queries will no longer be the forte of just statisticians and commentators. An Indian AI startup called Roanuz, has come up with a chatbot that can help get answers to such queries a matter of seconds.

This AI-powered virtual assistant, is programmed to give context relevant answers in both voice and text and is capable of having a near real time exchange. It provides a conversational customer experience and increase users ability to self service their needs.

The bot makes use of an exhaustive set of data, from live and historical matches and also of team stats and players. It covers information related to ICC Men's International matches from 2012, IPL, Big Bash League, Pakistan Premier League, Caribbean Premier League, Bangladesh Premier League and many more such tournaments.

Anto Banish Kaspar, the CEO of Roanuz said that the bot having access to a wide range of relevant information, can respond to different topics such as recent matches, player profile, team Vs team, player Vs team and live updates.

The team of Roanuz has processed over 1.2 million balls until now. This means that the API has been fed with around 5 million records as a form of input to the bot to answer questions related to the game. This is a one of a kind chatbot and it takes around 1500 milliseconds to respond to a query at present. This time is expected to lower down to 300 milliseconds.

The company has introduced Cricket Bot API along with Cricket Fantasy API as part of their cricket API suite. Roanuz provides readymade, easy-to-use data for developers and for those involved in creating fantasy games to easily integrate in their platforms.
