We are all hearing a lot about chatbots these days. It's new and trendy so what is this chatbot and why is it so famous? 

Chatbots are computer programs or a service, powered by rules and sometimes artificial intelligence that we interact via a chat interface. Bots today are revolutionizing the arena of customer interaction and making it more convenient for the users.

Bots are able to have human like interaction mainly because they are powered by two technologies-Artificial Intelligence and natural language processing that provide human like intelligence to the bots.  A chatbot is an application that communicates to the users via textual or auditory methods. It is used for starting out the conversation with the potential customer, and it is also used for making customer service job easier.

We are already observing many chatbots in many different websites used for various purposes. Not only in big organizations, but many small companies are also implementing chatbots. The use of chatbots will not end in future.

It's true that chatbots can be used for various purposes, and it is also true that you don't need years of programming to develop a chatbot. You can customize the various templates you can easily find in the market if you want to develop the chatbot for you, or you can purchase it at a reasonable price.

All the major technology companies are emphasizing a lot on chat bots. We all have heard about, Microsoft's recent attempt at a chatbot, and Microsoft already has Cortana. The agent developed by Microsoft has now reached to the computer from the phone. Cortana is a very good example of a universal chatbot because it spans the entire system. Microsoft is toiling hard to make Cortana even better personal assistant. Now a days each and every industry is emphasizing on artificial intelligence and chatbots.

Customers no longer have to wait for hours to get answers to their simple problems. Chatbots are just a click away, and you can get an answer from them anytime. It's an advantage to both customer service staff and as a customer.


Everyone wants simplicity. There are researchers trying to make things simple and easy for the human beings, whereas common human beings are also searching for the products that can make their life easier. 
More people preferring messaging and instant service, big companies heavily focusing on chatbots clearly indicate one thing. Chatbots are the next big thing in the world, and we can expect chatbots to be a part of our life in the near future.
