Symantec is looking for a Channel Systems Engineer deliver the technical product training and regular product/ architecture updated to channel partners.Job Description
- Responsible to work closely with the Symantec Channel and Commercial sales team to provide technical training to channel partners to support sales engagements.
- Build the technical enablement plan for Symantec channel partners
- Deliver the technical product training and regular product/ architecture updated to channel partners
- Also responsible to stay up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and service.
- Responsible for dedicatedly generate leads through a partner.
- Responsible for conducting regular seminars and workshops
- Define customer business problem in a functional and technical context
- Help move deals through the sales process by knowing how and when to engage the appropriate Symantec and partner tools and resources
- Deliver high-level and detailed technical presentations tailored to customers' requirements. Define solution options and articulate the benefits of a solution
- Responsible to learn or understand a broad-level of knowledge of the business economics and trends of the industries and vertical markets in which one's customers conduct business, and how proposed solutions add financial and strategic value.
- Can walk the talk: lead lab, demo, standard methodologies session & workshops
- Ability to deliver technical briefings, solution demonstrations and conducting Proof of Value (PoVs) in the security technology.
- Articulate and demonstrate Symantec solutions, and position products relative to customer requirements and bold scenario
- Build Symantec Product and services BOQ
- Provide on the job training for Partner SE's by allowing them to shadow presentations and evaluation installations.
- Should have a deep understanding for the Commercial and ISR market.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and business units to recommend and develop appropriate customer solution offerings
- Be a Symantec Cyber Security guide: know Threat protection, Information protection, Network security, competition, and Government business dynamics.
- Self-motivated, high-energy and fun upbeat individual who takes a very friendly and helping-hand approach.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and externally.
- Consistent record of building and maintaining positive relationships with Customers
- Strong ability to assess customer requirements and a proper solution design
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to set and handle expectations with senior stakeholders and team members
- Demonstrated ability to make and take responsibility for decisions on major technical issues
- Knowledge & experience in any security meaningful technologies
- Previous experience working with Endpoint security, DLP, Data Center Security, Email and Web security, Network Security, Cloud Security, Cyber Security Services etc.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- 8+ year experience for related sales engineering, system engineering or consulting or related field
- Preferred: Industry accreditation such as CISSP, CCNA, ITIL, CEH, etc.
- Experience driving partner relationships and training partners.
