About the role:
The Android Developer is a key member of our team to develop the next generation of Gartner's mobile applications.  The team will work closely with designers, project managers, and business partners to develop and maintain world-class Android mobile apps that delight our customers and contribute to Gartner's continued growth.

What you'll do: 
  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform, using Kotlin (or Java)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work on bug fixes and continuously improve application performance.

What you'll need:
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
  • Proven work experience in software development within small teams
  • Substantial experience with fully-native Android development, including having published one or more apps in Google Play that use client-server interactions
  • Deep familiarity with Kotlin (or Java) and Android Studio
  • Experience working with the Android SDK and SDK Tools, including compatibility libraries
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
