Cisco is seeking for Senior Python Developer who has an understanding of networking and related protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, LDAP, SSH).

Roles And Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the design, development, and operation of source code management systems with a focus on a platform that scales Git for a geographically distributed user base.  You will integrate and automate everything in the DevOps spirit.  You will have an impact on thousands of engineers SDLC.

Required Skills:
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience with Python software development.
  • 3+ years of Linux (RHEL) administration.
  • 1+ years of experience with Go software development.
  • Deep knowledge of one or more distributed version control systems (Git, Mercurial).
  • Experience with MySQL and DB schemas.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills addressing multiple levels of engineers and management.
  • Ability to execute with minimal supervision while guiding and mentoring others.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Experience with monitoring tools and their implementation.
  • Understanding of networking and related protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, LDAP, SSH).
  • Understanding agile Scrum software development.
  • Understanding of HAProxy or other load balancers.
  • Experience with database clustering (MariaDB).
  • Experience with shell scripting (bash).
  • Understanding of containers, Kubernetes and cloud deployments.
