Position Description:
Lenovo Commercial IoT engineering team has an objective to deliver a refreshing experience to our service providers and their customers. As a technology Architect, You will have the opportunity to develop an extraordinary cloud & mobile application that will be useable, reliable, fast, responsive. As the Architect for our Front-End applications, you will be the brain behind our front-end architecture. You will blend your expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React and Charting tools with your view for great designs to produce excellent user experiences. We are in a phase of building a sophisticated single page application, which requires scaling millions of devices.
The successful candidate possesses the excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to partner with other engineers & usability experts to discuss & develop the features.

Position Requirements:
Responsibilities include:
  • Lead the overall architecture for the UI framework while collaborating with other tech leads and UI team members.
  • Lead the roll-out of the UI design norms (e.g., coding, testing, automation, app structure)
  • Collaborate with feature development teams during both the design and development phases to ensure adherence to UI architectural standards and best practices.
  • Design and develop proof-of-concept prototypes for advanced features and designs.
  • Provide technical oversight and performance code reviews for multiple development efforts.
  • Evaluate, test, and provide technology and design recommendations to manage.
  • Write detailed documentation on system design and implementation.
  • Contribute to framework and user interface implementation as an Individual contributor.

Role Requirements.
  • BE, BTech or, MCA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
  • 10+ yearsâ?? work experience on front technologies, including cloud & mobile applications.
  • Expertise in delivering enterprise-class JavaScript web applications.
  • Knowledge in the design, development, and use of component-based architectures, preferably React and Redux
  • Expertise in JavaScript/ES6/Typescript and at least one front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular 2+, Vue)
  • Expertise in Modern web app building and testing frameworks (e.g., NodeJs, Websocket, REST, MQQT, karma, and/or jasmine)
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS, and CSS preprocessors (Sass or Less)
  • Strong understanding of UI performance metrics, as well as how to capture and interpret them.
  • Experience working in teams with a heavy emphasis on automation and quality (CI/CD)
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers.
  • Comfortable working with a remote team operating in multiple time zones.
  • Strong communication skills across the board, with a passion for finding and sharing best practices and driving greater discipline across organizations.
