As a Database Architect, you will be responsible for driving high visibility and high impact projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for Database architecture such as evaluating current implementation, design DB architecture for highly scalable systems, research, prototype, implement a new methodology to database architecture.
An ideal candidate will possess the following:
1. 5 years of experience with MySQL with at least 2 years of experience as Database Architect with MySQL
2. Strong understanding of database concepts and architecture.
3. Defining standards for database development, security, scalability, replication, storage, and configuration management.
4. Prior experience with MySQL clustering, sharding, and other scalability techniques.
5. Integration and maintenance of large databases.
6. Defining and maintaining best practices for database architecture and operations.
7. Experience in design, implementation & optimization of complex database schemas.
8. Ability to assist software engineers in optimizing the overall performance of the application.
9. Knowledge of the latest technologies and tools available for improving the overall performance of the application.
10. Good skills in Threading, Serialization, Security, performance optimization and normalization.
11. Experience with NoSQL databases is added the plus.
12. Extremely good communications and interpersonal skills
13. Ability to collaborate across departments
14. Result oriented and ready to take ownership
