PayPal is looking for a Risk Data Analyst who has the Ability to frame a business question in analytics terms and structure the required analyses.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Ability to work with large volumes of data; extract and manipulate large datasets using standard tools such as SQL, R, SAS, and Python.
Ability to understand forecasting concepts and techniques and apply them to provide actionable insights to the business.
Work closely with business partners to determine how to design analysis and presentation approaches that will significantly improve our ability to understand and address emerging business issues
Ability to rapidly learn new concepts (technical, risk, business) a critical success factor in this role.
Ability to communicate complex concepts and the results of the analyses in a clear and effective manner through creative visualization.
Ability to frame a business question in analytics terms and structure the required analyses.
Experience with standard statistical techniques and tools.
Strong knowledge of Statistical, Optimization, and Forecasting concepts.
Experience in SQL, SAS, Excel and Visual Basic and experience with Teradata, Oracle, and Hadoop.
Temperament to work in a very dynamic/adaptive environment and balance multiple workstreams across different projects concurrently.
Manage multiple priorities and projects and communicate the progress of the projects to the team and business partners
Experience in efficient manipulation and analysis of large data sets
2 to 4 years in analytics role or MasterÔ??s degree in quantitative disciplines like Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research or Computer Science a requirement
Strong understanding of statistics (Educational qualifications in the statistical disciplines or hands-on experience in a statistical role)
