Gartner is hiring a Technical Support Specialist who can build and maintain SQL scripts in Microsoft SQL Server / Oracle DB.

What you'll do:
In addition to handling the data load requests, this position is also responsible for supporting end-user requests, questions, issue resolution, and access provisioning as well as several third party applications installed within the platform. The candidate is responsible for ensuring that data loads are planned and executed in a manner consistent with data quality standards within the CRM team, completed within deadline commitments, and service support follows all standard service level agreements.

This is an excellent position for candidates who enjoy exploring CRM platforms with other enterprise applications and wish to have regular interaction and dialog with users across the globe.

  • Configuration and administration of CRM (mainly Siebel) and integrated applications
  • Maintenance and customization users, roles, profiles, groups, accounts, contacts, record types, sharing rules, custom objects, pick lists and page layout customization to support vital business functions
  • Perform final Data Mapping and execution of Data import of any approved business requests into CRM
  • Perform Data Migration of Dependent objects, if needed (Contacts, Service Access, Opportunities, etc.)
  • Provide support to CRM users worldwide and act as the primary point of contact for end-user support
  • Create documentation of any business rules/transformations/issues and resolutions
  • Perform monitoring of data and system rules to ensure data integrity
  • Ensure understanding of business processes and strategies as defined
  • Build and maintain SQL scripts in Microsoft SQL Server / Oracle DB
  • Design, perform and document data extraction
  • Answer end-user inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information
  • Resolve end-user problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems
  • Fulfill end-user requests by clarifying desired information; completing transactions; forwarding requests to others as necessary

What you'll need:
  • Strong broad-based understanding of one or more CRM (Siebel, Sugar, Salesforce) application and its modules.
  • Understanding of data import using the Apex data loader, data loader, import / export wizard, Excel Connector tools.
  • Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
  • Strong ability to create and troubleshoot queries, stored procedures, functions, tables, indexes, constraints.
  • Prior knowledge of Siebel CRM administration is a plus
  • Knowledge to complete bulk imports and exports of data.
  • Knowledge of Support tickets prioritization
