Barclays is hiring a Support Engineer who can Define and own the target operational strategy for Active Directory Services within the bank aligned to GTIS structure and operating model.

Job Description

Job Responsibility:
  • Build, lead and motivate the team to High Performing Organisation standards.
  • Maximize AD service stability/availability, while enabling innovation and business agility through technology adoption & transformation
  • Make sure all Key Risk Indicators for Active Directory are kept compliant regularly
  • Provide leadership and vision to team members delivering secure and stable authentication platform to our clients
  • Provide technical leadership, oversight, and governance for Active Directory Services L1 / L2 team

What will you be doing?
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with your stakeholder network, ensuring authentication products and services are relevant and meet the required outcomes
  • Continually assess market capabilities to ensure Barclays is adopting the most relevant capabilities in the industry
  • Define and own the target operational strategy for Active Directory Services within the bank aligned to GTIS structure and operating model
  • Own and prioritize Incident, Problem, Event resolution and change, request implementation for Active Directory Services

What we're looking for:
  • The candidate must have demonstrable experience and have a proven record of at least relevant years of global team management skills within a large multi-site global financial environment
  • The candidate must have delivered major critical services (i.e. Active Directory) design and implementation projects within the last 12 months.
  • The candidate must be experienced in driving, supporting a governing major transformation
  • An avid interest in new technologies and techniques in IT and their potential use in Service and Systems Management

Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Microsoft Active Directory Services as well Window Server management products, SCOM, SCCM, Splunk, etc.
  • Deep understanding on infrastructure management components and related services including DHCP, DNS, DFS, SEP as well desired state configuration solutions (CHEF)
  • Quest Toolset configuration and troubleshooting (Active Roles, Change Auditor, GPOAdmin, Recovery Manager)
  • Automation techniques and tooling
